On July 13, 2025, over 900 participants came together at Seattle’s Seward Park for the 32nd annual Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) Rivkin Family SummeRun. This cherished 5K run/walk united survivors, families, friends, and supporters in a shared mission: to end ovarian cancer.
This year’s event raised more than $320,000 to fund the next round of Rivkin Pilot Grants, which support innovative research across all areas of ovarian cancer. These grants serve as a critical launching point for breakthroughs that can lead to better detection, treatment, and, ultimately, a cure.
For the Rehberg Law Firm community, this cause hits close to home. The firm was honored to sponsor the event, an opportunity to give back to a cause that has touched so many lives, including one of our own.
In April 2024, Sandi Rehberg, our Senior Drafter and the wife of Attorney Ryan Rehberg, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. What started as a check for kidney stones led to a life-changing discovery: one of her ovaries contained a tumor that had grown to the size of a baby's head. Now, a little over a year later, Sandi is a survivor and kicked cancer’s butt.
Employees and their families proudly participated in the SummeRun to show their support for Sandi and for the broader ovarian cancer community. We are incredibly grateful for the strength, resilience, and hope that this event represents and proud to be part of the fight to end ovarian cancer.
