Probate Paralegal

Rehberg Law Group is a boutique estate planning law firm in SeaTac. We currently have an opening for a full-time, experienced paralegal in our Probate and Estate Administration team, a four-person team that supports six attorneys.

A qualified candidate must have extensive knowledge of probate and estate administration procedures and be able to do the following:

  • Prepare petitions and other necessary documents in probate and nonprobate matters for attorneys, and closely monitor cases throughout the entirely of the probate and nonprobate process;

  • Draft and proofread various probate and nonprobate documents;

  • File pleadings and other court documents with various county court clerks, which include probate and nonprobate documents, as well as Trust and Estate Dispute Resolution (TEDRA) documents;

  • Schedule hearings with the court and provide notice to relevant parties as well as have familiarity with court processes related to probates and other related matters;

  • Obtain Employer Identification Numbers (EINs) from the IRS and send relevant estate information to the IRS; 

  • Draft and record Community Property Agreements (CPAs), Affidavits in Support of CPAs, and Lack of Probate Affidavits (LOPAs) with relevant county recorder’s offices;

  • Meet or communicate with clients, attorneys, creditors, accountants, or other professionals to discuss case details; and

  • Preferred candidates will have experience working with trust documents, including drafting Certificates and Affidavits of Trust, Notices of Trust Existence, as well as Trustee Resignation and Acceptance documents. 

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, a certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program, or an associate degree in paralegal studies, and three to five years of probate paralegal experience.

Administrative Assistant

Rehberg Law Group is a boutique estate planning law firm in SeaTac. We currently have an opening for a full-time motivated Administrative Assistant to ensure the smooth running of our Drafting Department. This position is responsible for providing the requisite administrative support (clerical) need of the Team, which includes the following: 

 

  • Creating, editing, revising, and proofreading of documents;

  • Mailing or emailing drafts to clients;

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and electronic communications;

  • Assist with client document copy requests;

  • Prepare a variety of template letters for new and existing clients; and

  • Updating Department tracking spreadsheet and other administrative tasks, as needed.

 

Qualified candidates should have:

 

  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in the legal or financial field.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.

  • Advanced skills in Windows Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading skills.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
